Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Electrical equipment is present in virtually all workplaces, and that includes portable appliances. This PAT testing course will familiarise you with the task of portable appliance testing and ways you can help minimise the risk of electrocution, electric shock, and electrically-initiated fires in the workplace. You will learn about the basics of PAT so you're able to offer your support and ensure electrical equipment does not put people's health and safety at risk while at work.

Electric Vehicle Charger Installation

This 2-day course consists of 2 parts. Part 1 covers the theory and design requirements for the installation of the charging equipment and this will be assessed with a City and Guilds 1 hour multi choice exam. Candidates have to pass this before proceeding on to part 2.

Part 2 is a practical assessment that includes the installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of domestic, commercial and industrial charging equipment.

On successful completion of this course, electric1ans can apply for OLEV approval to install Electric Vehicle charging equipment for domestic, commercial and industrial locations.
