Entry requirements
- Two National 5 and three National 4 qualifications.
- Candidates who do not have the above requirements but who have successfully completed Pathway to Hair and Beauty SCQF 4/5 will be considered.
- Work experience in a beauty salon would also be an advantage.
Students will learn to carry out a range of beauty treatments which may include:
- Facials, eyebrow and lash treatments and waxing services
- Manicure and pedicure services
- Customer care
- Health and safety
- Working with colleagues and supervisors
- Make-up
- Shellac
- Eyelash extensions

Blended delivery - Students will carry out practical learning in our commercial salon and will complete some theory elements of the course online through our Virtual Learning Environment.

Upon successful completion of the course, most students progress on to the SVQ Beauty Therapy SCQF 6 to build on their foundational skills, learning more advanced treatments and techniques to prepare them for the world of work.
