What is special about this course?

Cyber security is essential for the success of the virtual economy, education and community and acknowledges the idea that developing the capability to understand the fundamental tools and techniques of Data Security, Digital forensics and Ethical Hacking is important in ensuring that learners are aware of their responsibilities within these virtual communities.

This National Progression Award in Cyber Computing is made up of three core units to complete the award.

Entry requirements

  • Evidence of core skills at a level 4 in communications, numeracy and ICT.
  • Adult returners who do not meet the entry requirements above – successful completion of adult returner assessment demonstrating evidence of communication, numeracy and IT ability at a level 4.

You will learn online through timetabled classes delivered by a lecturer in a virtual classroom. You’ll use our virtual learning environment to access resources, complete assessments, and chat to your lecturer and classmates. You will also complete regular and flexible personal study which most students choose to do from home.
