STEM
Building Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths skills is vital to the future of the Highlands and Islands and we are committed to promoting STEM subjects and careers, developing a skilled STEM workforce aligned with business needs and economic growth in the local area as well as continuing to address equity of opportunity, with rural and gender as particular areas of focus.
Our three main aims are;
Confidence - We aim to increase the confidence of pupils and practitioners to engage with STEM subjects
Capacity - We aim to provide schools with access to equipment and teaching resources to aid with STEM learning and teaching
Culture - We aim to work with more than one practitioner within each school to increase in-school support and embed STEM within the schools
