The course was delivered solely online via the institution VLE, this was done by using a mix of resources, such as videos, PDFs, some virtual classroom sessions with the lecturers, reviewing academic journals then engaging with other students via the discussions boards to embed the learning and to share ideas and thoughts about the topics we were studying.

I really enjoyed chatting to other students via the discussions boards as it allowed me to ask peers questions about topics I wasn’t familiar with, as the students came from a diverse background - all with different experiences that they could share. I also enjoyed just working through the content at my own pace – although working to deadlines, such as assessments, it meant due to busy work schedule I could cover in 1 weeks , 2 weeks’ worth of content knowing that I would not fall behind.

I found the support invaluable, especially from student services who provided additional support for my assignments by providing a learning support person who chatted with me and tailored the support to give me the confidence to go from PGCert, PGDip to then complete my dissertation.
