Lews Castle College and Western Isles Libraries deliver a series of free classes and course taster sessions in Stornoway.

Join LCC UHI for a series of FREE classes at Stornoway Library where our expert staff will be on hand to deliver practical classes, advice and support that can allow you to experiment and discover your new career.

With classes including Cyanotype printing, fashion design, healthcare careers, 3D printing, and Gaelic language sessions there is something for everyone.

You can book you place, try out a new skill and find out about courses available at the college that could lead to a whole new direction for you and your career.

24th Sept – Healthcare Careers  - from mental health to social care and nursing, healthcare is the largest employment sector in Scotland – find out how you can start or develop your career in care.

22th October – Gaelic – an introductory language class for beginners or those looking to improve their conversational skills.

29th Oct - Art & Design – Cyanotype Printing Class – join artist and Lecturer Rosie Blake who will be showing you how to create your own cyanotype images – an early type of photography which uses sunlight to make an image!

12th November – 3D Printing & Game Design– join our team for this introductory session to game design and experiment with our 3D Printer. 

26th Nov – Intro to Fashion Design – have you ever wanted to create your own designs? Join Fashion designer and lecturer Netty Sopata for this introductory session
