Music Short Courses
At UHI Outer Hebrides we offer a wide range of music courses throughout the year. These classes are all taught from our Uist campuses, though many are accessible online. Our courses are designed to celebrate and promote the unique culture of the Outer Hebrides, a culture rich in Gaelic, story telling and traditional music. Our lecturers are leading academic and working musicians who perform all over the world, they are passionate about the music of our islands and the influences it has.
The music traditions of the Outer Hebrides are heard around the world with folk and trad connections reaching to Canada, Australia, South America and more. These connections and influences mean our courses incorporate music from across the genres and globe.
