Radar

What is special about this course?

For operators of small craft (Motor and Sailing vessels including fishing boats).  The award of a Radar Certificate will allow you to operate a Radar with confidence. A Lightmaster 2 simulator is used to practice collision avoidance. pilotage and navigation

  • There are no formal entry requirements for this certificate course.

  • What the radar shows
  • How to set up and adjust the Radar set
  • Radar reflectors (Passive and Active)
  • MARPA
  • Pilotage using Radar
  • Radar Plotting.

How will I study my course?

  • Evening
  • Short course

How long will my course last?

Short course - 1 day - 8 hour
or 4 Weeks by evening class, normally Mondays 7-9pm.
